Terms
of service

The contract between you and Icecompany when you use this site or any of our products. We've cut everything that wasn't load-bearing — what's left is meant to be read by humans, not skimmed by lawyers.

/ 01Who we are

An independent studio, operated by a small team

Icecompany ("we", "us") is a sole proprietorship registered in the EU, with a remote team across the RU and EU. We don't represent a parent company; what you read here is the contract directly with us.

/ 02Services covered

This contract covers four surfaces

When you use the services below, you accept these terms. Individual products may add their own product-level terms — those bind alongside, not instead of, this page.

icecompany.techThis marketing site. Public, no account, no payment.
IcepathConsumer VPN. Subscriptions through our Telegram bot, traffic through our nodes. Beta status, see §03.
IceslabOperator panel — open core (MIT) and commercial licenses. License terms attach.
IcecoreBespoke studio contracts. Not yet generally available — alpha Q4 2026.
/ 03Beta status

Some services are in beta. They will break, sometimes.

Material clause — read this one

Icepath and Icecore are pre-1.0. Regions go down, protocols rotate, detection rules ship as we learn. We work to minimise breakage, but we don't promise SLAs or refunds during the beta. Iceslab v1.0 is generally available and has its own commercial SLA.

Note

If a beta service is unusable for your case, stop using it. Don't build production dependencies on a beta surface — we'll always say which surface is which.

/ 04Acceptable use

Don't use our infrastructure to hurt people

A VPN is a tool, like a knife or a car — most uses are legal and benign. A small list is not, and isn't welcome here:

  • Sending mass unsolicited mail, scanning, or DoS originating from our nodes
  • Distributing CSAM or content that targets children — instant termination, reported
  • Operating phishing, credential-stuffing, or fraud infrastructure
  • Reselling Iceslab deployments without a commercial license

If we receive a credible abuse complaint we'll investigate; if it's substantiated we suspend without warning. We don't pre-screen traffic — but when something forces our hand, we act.

/ 05Payments

When and how money changes hands

Right now: only Iceslab commercial licenses and bespoke Icecompany contracts are paid. Icepath is free during beta and you don't owe us anything for using this site.

Iceslab commercial

Annual or monthly, invoice in EUR. Net 14 unless agreed otherwise. Refunds within 14 days of first payment if you walk away — pro-rated after that.

Icecompany partnerships

Contracted per engagement. NDAs go both ways. We don't take payment for alpha access — that's reciprocal.

/ 06Licenses & IP

What you can and can't reuse

Iceslab coreMIT licensed — fork, modify, redistribute. Attribution required.
Iceslab operator UISource-available under a commercial license. Per-instance limit, no redistribution.
Icecore SDKPer-contract. Source provided under NDA, no public release planned.
Brand assetsCC-BY for editorial / press use. See /brand for the package.
Field notes / docsCC-BY-NC — quote freely, credit us, no monetised mirrors.
/ 07Liability

We try hard. Things still break

Our services are provided "as-is". We don't warrant uninterrupted service, bug-free software, or fitness for a specific purpose. To the extent allowed by EU consumer law, our liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the last 12 months — or, for free services, at zero. We don't disclaim liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, because that would be ugly.

In plain English

If something breaks and you lose value, we'll work with you to fix it. We won't pretend it didn't happen. We also can't be on the hook for unbounded business losses on a free beta product — that's the trade.

/ 08Changes & contact

When this page changes, you'll know

Material changes — anything that affects what you owe us, what we owe you, or what we may do with your data — get a diff posted at /terms/changelog and an email to any address we have on file 14 days before they take effect. Typo fixes don't.

Questions about this contract, requests for a translated version, or anything else: legal@icecompany.tech. We aim to respond within a working day, longer when our lawyer is on holiday.
